SURROUNDING PHARMACISTS COMMENTS
Once an application for PBS Approval has been lodged with Medicare, the Australian Community Pharmacy Authority (ACPA) will often seek comments from pharmacists who have pharmacies in the vicinity of the proposed premises.You or a neighbouring pharmacy may receive a letter from the ACPA inviting you to comment on whether, in your opinion, the proposed pharmacy would meet the requirements of a particular Pharmacy Location Rule.
It is not uncommon practice for the ACPA to not write to all local pharmacists, so it could be in your interest to discuss this with other pharmacists in the area to ensure they are informed and have the opportunity to comment.
Contact us as soon as you receive such a letter and we'll do the rest. We can submit the comments to the ACPA on behalf of just one pharmacist, or a group of pharmacists, if this is your preference.
